Dropit respects your privacy. Dropit is a save-and-find app that lets you drop in links and screenshots without typing a title, folder, or tags, and find them later by search.

Summary of changes (2026-07-23)

Added a section explaining how to request deletion of data sent to the server (find your App Instance ID in the app, then request by email).
Changed the privacy contact and deletion-request address to privacy@axisix.studio.

1. Information We Collect

Dropit does not require account registration and does not collect directly identifying information such as your name or phone number.

The links (URLs), images and screenshots, titles, memos, tags, save times, and app settings you save are stored on your device. This is local data used to provide app features and is not sent to the developer's server.

Google sign-in is used only when you use the optional Google Drive backup. Even then, Dropit does not store or send your Google account information (such as email) to the developer's server, and your email is used briefly only to show the connection status on the settings screen. (See section 5.)

Dropit collects usage statistics (Firebase Analytics) and crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics) only with your prior consent. Both are off by default and do not include directly identifying information such as your name or email, nor an advertising identifier. See section 7 for items, purpose, retention, international transfer, and how to opt out.

2. Device Permissions

Dropit may request photo and media access to organize and save screenshots and images, and may use the share feature to receive links and images shared from other apps. These permissions are used only to save the items you choose into the app.

If you turn on Google Drive backup, Dropit uses access to the app-specific folder of your own Google Drive to upload and download backup files. This access is limited to backup files created by Dropit.

You can change or revoke permissions at any time in your device settings or Google account settings.

3. Information Stored on the Device

Dropit may store the following on your device.

Links (URLs) and domains you save
Screenshot and image files you save (kept as copies in app storage)
Text extracted from screenshots and images (on-device OCR result, for search)
Titles, memos, and tags, auto-generated or entered by you
Save times, favorites, sort order, and other app settings

4. Purpose of Use

Information stored on the device is used only to provide app features: listing saved items, searching by keyword, and showing your recent saving activity.

5. Google Sign-in and Google Drive Backup (optional)

Dropit provides Google Drive backup only when you turn it on in settings. If you do not use it, no Google sign-in or Drive access occurs.

When backup is on, the items and images you saved in Dropit are bundled into a backup file and stored in the app-specific folder (appDataFolder) of your own Google Drive. This backup is stored only in your own Google Drive; it is not sent to, and cannot be viewed by, the developer.

Google sign-in is used only to obtain this Drive access. Dropit does not store or collect your Google account information. You can turn off automatic backup at any time, disconnect (sign out), or delete backup files directly in your Google Drive.

Data stored in Drive is also governed by Google's privacy policy.

6. Sharing with Third Parties

Dropit does not sell or share your personal information with third parties. Google Drive backup uses your own storage and is not a transfer of data to a third party.

7. Usage Statistics and Crash Reports, Processing and International Transfer

Dropit collects Google Firebase Analytics (usage statistics) and Firebase Crashlytics (crash reports) only with your prior consent. Both are off by default and can each be turned on in the consent screen shown when you first open the app.

If you decline, you can still use every feature of the app without limitation. You can withdraw consent at any time in settings; usage statistics and crash reporting are separate switches.

No advertising identifier is collected. Related permissions (including AdServices) were explicitly removed from the app.

Usage statistics (Firebase Analytics) items: app instance ID (a random installation identifier), in-app activity (screen views and feature-use events), approximate location derived from your IP address
Crash report (Firebase Crashlytics) items: crash logs (stack traces), device state diagnostics (model, OS version, and so on), a Crashlytics installation identifier
Purpose: analyzing usage statistics and improving app quality and stability
Processing: Processor is Google LLC; scope is analyzing usage statistics and handling crash reports
International transfer: Recipient is Google LLC (United States); when and how is over HTTPS through the SDK only while enabled; items are those listed above

8. Data Retention and Deletion (device and Drive)

Data stored on the device is kept until you delete the items or uninstall the app. Uninstalling the app also deletes the Dropit data on the device, including copied images.

You can also delete data inside the app. In Settings, open Delete data to individually run: all data on this device, backup files in your Google Drive app folder, and withdrawing analytics and crash reporting consent while clearing collected data left on the device.

Google Drive backup files remain in your Drive until you disconnect in the app or delete the files directly in Google Drive.

9. Data Deletion Request

This section explains data deletion for the Dropit app (developer: Axisix).

What you can do directly in the app — Settings > Delete data: erase all data on this device (saved items, screenshot copies, cache), delete backup files in your Google Drive app folder, and withdraw usage statistics and crash reporting consent while clearing collected data left on the device.
How to request deletion of data sent to the server — In the app, open Delete data > Request server data deletion to find your App Instance ID, then request deletion at privacy@axisix.studio including that ID (the app provides email prefill and copy).
Processing time for a deletion request — After a request, data is removed from reports within about 72 hours and fully deleted from the servers within up to two months.
Retention periods (automatic deletion) — Usage statistics (Firebase Analytics) are kept up to 14 months, and crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics) for 90 days, after which they are deleted automatically.
About individual crash report deletion — Firebase provides per-user crash report deletion, but it works by the user identifier set through the Crashlytics SDK. To minimize data, Dropit does not set a user identifier, so targeted individual deletion does not apply; when you withdraw consent, automatic deletion applies within the 90-day retention period above.

10. Rights of Users in the EEA

If you are in the European Economic Area, under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing of, object to the processing of, and port your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email in section 13. We respond within the period required by applicable law.

Dropit does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

This Privacy Policy may be updated due to app feature changes, legal changes, or service operation policy. When it changes, the latest policy is posted on this page, and previous versions are available under View previous versions.

Data stored in your Google Drive is also subject to Google's privacy policy.

7. Usage Analytics, Processing and International Transfer

To improve app quality, Dropit automatically collects anonymous usage analytics using Google's Firebase Analytics. This data does not identify you personally and does not collect advertising identifiers (the app explicitly removes the advertising ID permission).

You can stop analytics transmission at any time by turning off "Usage analytics" in the app settings.
